MY GO TO EYEBROW PRODUCTS

Hello hello beautiful people of the world, am back at it again before I disappear for a whole week with no show lol (am only joking, life does get busy for me believe it or not but I absolutely love blogging so am going to keep at  it). And thank you very much for being patience with me and my posts.

EYEBROWS

Eyebrows are such a big part of my  look and they are capable of making all the difference to ones overall look be it everyday, special occasions or just for a night out (which to be honest, I don’t even remember the last time I was out but yeah).

Before I go ahead and get started, let me clarify that all opinions formulated in this post are my own and no one else. Therefore, I totally understand  if anyone thinks contrary to what I will post. So ladies, feel free to disagree. OK, let’s get started on these eyebrow products  in no particular order.

Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil (Dark brown 001/black brown 004) £3.29

I absolutely love love love and adore this product and cannot fault it. It has been and still is my favourite eyebrow product of all time because for me, it’s THE eyebrow pencil which makes my eyebrows look natural without doing too much to them.

PROs;

  • Natural looking effect without looking too heavy
  • So easy to apply and lasts all day long
  • A very handy built-in/on brush which comes in handy
  • Great colour payoff
  • Sharpens easily and lasts you a good amount of time
  • The consistency is soft enough to not feel scratchy but applies and glides on smoothly
  • Not waxy or thick
  • Doesn’t leave any clumps on your eyebrows

CONs;

  • I don’t like the attached brush that comes with it because it feels hard on my eyebrows (which I suspect is due to the fact that I don’t have much hairs on my eyebrows) . A spoolie is the better option for me as I get much in terms of softness and blend out of it compared to that type of brush on this particular eyebrow pencil. To those not aware of what a spoolie, checkout the picture below.

BROW THIS WAY Gel with Argon Oil (003 Dark Brown) £4.49

I enjoy using this eyebrow gel and the fact that it contains Argon oil is an added bonus for me. The gel is a liquidy substance, non runny and has a nice chocolate brown colour. The brow pencil looks really good on my dark brown/black eyebrow hairs.

PROs;

  • Quick and Easy to use
  • Buildable to desired pigmentation
  • The spoolie doesn’t take on much product
  • Doesn’t smudge or leave clump
  • Good amount of product
  • I add and use it with (or after pencil application) the Rimmel Professional eyebrow pencil to intensify the colour payoff

CONs;

  • When you first apply the gel, it comes colour appears very light but dries off darker. Therefore, anyone not aware of this might end up putting too much product on thinking it’s not dark enough and end up with way darker eyebrows that expected ( After my realisation of this, I always put on little product wait for it to dry off before adding more and building pigmentation)
  • My eyebrows lack thickness and due to that fact,  I end up using an angled brush for application instead of the spoolie wand gel which comes with the eyebrow gel

MUA Eyebrow Pencil (Black/Brown)- £1

img_2731

As much I love this eyebrow pencil, I have a love/hate relationship with for a number of reasons but have taught myself to navigate around them. It’s certainly one of those, ”IT DEPENDS ON HOW YOU DO AND LIKE YOUR EYEBROWS” kind of pencil.

PROs;

  • Great pigmentation
  • Glides on easily
  • Can be used as lip liner
  • Applies smoothly
  • Comes with brush attached to it
  • Lasts
  • Can be used as a top-up  to give your eyebrows intensity, more pigment and colour payoff

CONs;

  • Has a Creamy and waxy formula
  • If not handled with care, can smudge
  • I don’t think it’s beginner friendly (would recommend Rimmel over this one)

Sleek Makeup Eyebrow pencil (Brown)- £1.99

This eyebrow pencil feels like a good dupe for the Rimmel professional eyebrow Pencil in terms of the formula and colour payoff but with a bit more pigment.

PROs;

  • Glides on easily
  • Applies smoothly
  • Natural to buildable finish
  • Lasts all day
  • Sharpens easily
  • Great colour payoff

CONs;

  • A bit on the thick side, so you have to handle with care

Beauty Forever Eyebrow pencil (402 Dark Brown)- £1.49

Cannot fault this pencil

This product was purchased from the wish.com website for £3 and although this site is a HIT OR MISS type of site, I have never regretted my purchase.
