Mini Wish.com Haul and Review Pt 1

Hello beautiful people of the world, as always I hope you are all doing great and in good health. And to anyone out there feeling real low, unmotivated, stressed and or maybe feel the weight of the world on your shoulders…HANG IN THERE, IT HAPPENS TO THE BEST OF US (it’s OK feel all of those from time to time but do not stay down for too long, get up and keep going).

Today’s blog post is a haul and review on beauty products I purchased from a cheap and affordable yet HIT OR MISS website known as wish.com.  Wish.com is;

  • A very very affordable mobile mall app that connects you to millions and millions of manufacturers and merchants
  • Super affordable with prices as low as £1-2 for beauty products
  • A mobile app that sells almost anything and everything

The downside of wish.com is;

  • Takes anywhere between 2-5 weeks to receive your items (I think everything comes from China)
  • Nothing you order is guaranteed to be good, it’s a HIT OR MISS SITUATION

I have been using the mobile mall app way before a I got into blogging and had my fair share of MISSES as well as HITS with it. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to do a blog post on products purchased from wish.

HAUL AND REVIEW

Qibest Waterproof Matte Liquid Lip  Stain -£2

When you go on the site, these liquid lip stains have no individual names but they are numbered instead. I will leave the numbers at the bottom of the picture.

HOW THEY LOOK ON MY LIPS

lastsharecollage-4

PROs;

  • Super affordable
  • Very pigmented
  • Easy to apply
  • Moisturising during application
  • Long lasting
  • Waterproof (tested with both cold and hot water)
  • Does not transfer (even with hot water, I had to forcefully kiss my hand to notice any transfer)
  • Smudge-proof
  • Light-weight
  • Non-drying feel on the lips

CONs;

  • You have to use an oil based product such as olive or coconut to remove the lip stain from your lips (does not come off easily)
  • If you moisturise your lips before application, make sure to wait for the moisture to absorb completely into your lips. This will prevent any stickiness of your lips after applying the lip stain

Miss Rose Metallic Matte Liquid Lipstick (17)  AND Miss Rose Matte Moisturising lipstick (49# Chi) -£2

HOW THEY LOOKED ON MY LIPS

lastsharecollage-6

(matte on the left and metallic on the right)

PROs (Miss Rose metallic);

  • Decent pigment
  • Affordable
  • Subtle metallic (it’s not too out there)

CONs;

  • It was tacky
  • Within the hour, it started to separate
  • Not transfer proof or smudge-proof
  • Felt very uncomfortable on the lips

PROs (Miss Rose matte)

  • Affordable
  • Subtle (just my type of natural looking pink nude)
  • light-weight
  • Non-drying feel on the lips

CONs;

  • Gave my lips a tingling sensation
  • After two hours of wearing it, my lips were bruised and swollen

5 Pcs Choker Necklace Set -£1

lastsharecollage-7

HOW THEY LOOK ON (only had the chance to wear two out of the five)

lastsharecollage-5

PROs;

  • Cute on the eyes (they are cute to look at but)
  • Great for taking pictures or filming videos with

CONs;

  • They are not steady (once on, they tend to move around a lot and require a lot of moving back in position)
  • Hard to put around the neck because the hook is very rigid
  • The chain part which the hook hooks onto looks extremely cheap (I mean extremely extremely okayyy)

3Pcs Umbrella Wall Hook Key Hair Pin Holder Organiser Decorative Organiser -£2

(Both images were taken from Wish.com)

I was so excited to receive mine that I straight away stuck them to my wall without taking any pictures. However, I took some after the fact and below is how they look (only stuck two because my daughter decided to take the 3rd for a toy);

img_0640

PROs;

  • Comes with an instruction manual
  • Easy to assemble
  • Very steady and strong
  • You do not need any extra glue as the adhesive it comes with is strong enough to stick to the wall
  • They look really cute on the wall

CONs;

  • I cannot fault them

CONCLUSION

As you can see from the review, it was a HIT OR MISS situation but overall am not mad at all as I gained some and lost some. I would have been really sad if everything I bought turned out to be a complete fail cause at the end of the day, £1 or £2…MONEY IS MONEY and we all work to earn it (well some of us do anyway).

Would I recommend? …..The risk is yours to take 🙂

What I have learnt with this Haul and Review….

  • Before reviewing a product; it is best to try or have it on for more than two hours or better still, experiment with it for days/ a week.  This gives you the opportunity to observe any adverse reactions (if any) rather than just reviewing a product there and then and taking the product off your face once your pictures or videos are done (unless you come back with an updated review).

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog post today.  A wish you all  fruitful week.

I am a mother of two who enjoys anything makeup and sometimes hair. Both are a form of expression, art as well as an escape and into my own atmosphere. However, I don't enjoy having to break the bank in order to look and be ''on fleek''. Oh and before I forget, I certainly enjoy trying out new recipes

  1. I’m so glad you did a review on Wish.com as I had thought the reviews they put up were probably fake or something. Now that you’ve shared this information, i think I’ll give them a try. Thank you so much for sharing this. 😊😊

    1. Oh no the reviews there are real. I always try to review products on sites after I buy them because once I want to buy something, I always look at the reviews first. You can give them a try but with caution , I never expect much with them unless the customer reviews are great

  2. Their delivery is not quick, it takes anything between 2-4 weeks or latest 5 weeks. Depends on what you purchasing but majority of the time, delivery charge is not included. For example if you buy lipgloss for £1, delivery charge is a £1. But if the gloss is £2, then it’s free delivery. It’s safe to say, whatever you spend, you most likely to pay double kz delivery is charged per item rather than a whole purchase. And lastly, since items are purchased from different dealers, they end up arriving at different times and not all at once. Hope this helps?
